And that, my friends, is how it works. It's not hard and it doesn't take long, but it does take committment.
Yesterday was especially easy because I had the day off. I was home all day (in fact I never left the house!) so there was no problem getting it done. Some days it's not that easy. I'm the first one to admit that after a day at work with other things to accomplish when I get home it's really easy to come up with a long list of reasons not to walk. BUT, if you make it a priority it is possible to reach your goal, whatever it may be.
As I embark on another year of challenging myself to walk at least Two Miles a Day I spent some time thinking of how I can visually track my walks. I already use MyFittnessPal to digital track my miles, but I think it would be fun to have a visual reminder as well. I didn't come up with a great idea yet but I'm going to continue to think of it.
One idea I had it to buy a large calendar with all 12 months on it that I could hang on my wall. I could X off every day when I finish walking.
Another idea I had is to stick something on a wall (like a small post-it note) so that at the end of the year I have a whole wall of progress to look at.
Neither of those ideas really excited me so for now I'm just going to continue to track my miles digitally. If I do come up with an idea I'll let you know.
So, one day down, 364 to go. No problem . . . I've got this!
