My ONE LITTLE WORD for 2015 is C H A L L E N G E.
Challenge: an invitation to do something that one thinks will be difficult.
In 2015 I want to:
Challenge myself to read more books.
Challenge myself to spend more time crafting.
Challenge myself to celebrate everyday moments.
Challenge myself to blog with intention.
Challenge myself to walk at least two miles a day.
Challenge myself to clean and purge.
Challenge myself to be confident making decisions.
Read more books. I haven't read many books for the past couple of years and I blame the internet for that. Usually by the time I'm ready to relax in the evening I turn on the tv and surf the web until it's time to go to bed. I want to spend less time doing those things are more time reading in 2015. I have a stack of books that I want to read and I'm starting today with The Fault in Our Stars.
Craft more. I love to do crafts, but I spend more time thinking about it (and looking at other people's craft projects) than I do crafting. I plan to move my craft room to a new location, reorganize my supplies and get crafty in 2015.
Celebrate everyday moments. Throughout 2014 I identifed 52 things I love and it was a really good exercise in thinking positive and paying attention to little things, like how much I love diagonally cut sandwhiches. I'm happy and feel blessed in my life and I want to challenge myself to pay attention to all of the everyday moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Blog with intention. I used to keep a blog calendar and plan my blog posts in advance, but in 2014 I was much less organized in my posting. I want to get back on track and make sure that I'm providing interesting and inspirational posts. This ties in with my goal to craft more so that I can balance my everyday posts with crafty posts.
Walk Two Miles a Day. I want to continue my goal to walk every day. Although I walked MOST days in 2014 I didn't walk EVERY day and I want to meet that goal this year.
Clean and Purge. I started working on this in 2014 and want to continue in 2015. A lot of my purging will take place when I move my craft room, but other areas of my home could use a good purge as well.
Be confident in decision making. I tend to take a l o n g time to make a decision because I want to make sure I'm making the right one. I want to work on going with my gut and taking risks so that I can get more done rather than thinking and thinking about each decision. It might sound easy, but this goal, for me, will be a real challenge.
I'm excited about 2015 and hope that you will follow along.
