My kitchen table is sort of a diaster as it has become my Week in the Life album workstation. I moved the album and some of my supplies from my craft room to the kitchen in the hopes that I would get the album finished sooner rather than later. So far that hasn't really worked, but I haven't given up hope yet.
I've gathered several embellishments from my stash that may or may not make their way into the album. The days of the week tags were purchased from the Handmade Modern shop on Etsy. I love the look of the tags which are perfect for this album, which documents each day of one week in my life.
I have a plan in place to finish the album and I've been busy setting up the foundation for the pages. Each day will have two pages with the photos (in divided page pockets) in between. On the left side will be the day of the week tag and some type of embellishment, along with some journaling about the photos and my activities that day.
Here's a look at Tuesday along with some of the tags that I haven't added to the album yet. When you turn the divided photo pocket page you'll see the back side with six additional photos, and another paper page with more journaling about the photos and my activities for the day.
One of my biggest hurdles right now is that my printer doesn't work, so I can't print out my journaling. I do have access to a typewriter so I could go old school and type my journaling, but since I've already added a lot of the embellishments that might not be an option. My final option is to handwrite my journaling, which would probably be meaningful to future generations, but makes me slightly uncomfortable because let's be honest, I'm not Ali Edwards. (That's a joke most scrapbookers will understand - Ali is known for having very cool handwriting.)
I initially thought I would have this album done by the end of September, but here it is almost the end of October and I'm still not done. I'm going to keep plugging away and I'll (eventually) share the finished product.
