I've never claimed to be a great gardener, but things may be turning around. I bought a fall arrangement about a month ago to put on my patio. The photo on the left shows the plant the day I bought it. The other day I watered it and thought about how beautiful it looks. I went back and looked at the original photo and realized that it seems to be "blossoming" (pardon the pun) in my care. I'm impressed!
A few nights ago I went on a walk with some girlfriends. As the sun was setting I decided to use the timer ap on my iPhone to take a sunset photo. I put my phone on a bench and then used another phone, a key fob and a jacket to prop my phone up just right to catch the sunset. I hit the timer button and stepped back excited about the perfect shot I was going to get. The timer counted down 5 . . . 4 . . . 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 and just as the picture was taken one of my girlfriends photobombed my perfect shot. I did manage to get several great sunset photos, but this one is BY FAR my favorite.
And now, the GREAT BED MAKING DEBATE. I'm always surprised when I talk to people and find out that they don't make their bed on a regular basis. My mom always encouraged (read: required) me to make my bed every day, which is a habit I've continued in my adult life. Every morning the first thing I do is make my bed, even before brushing my teeth. Thanks Mom.
I was recently reading Elise's blog and she mentioned that she doesn't normally make her bed. Many people commented that they don't make theirs either, which really surprised me. I think that making the bed makes the room look so much better, and I prefer crawling into a made bed rather then a mess of sheets and blankets.
So, my question is: do you make your bed every day?
