Making the salad was pretty easy. I filled a bowl with iceburg lettuce and then added cherry tomatoes, black olives, banana peppers and red onion. The first time I made the salad I used half an onion, which was way too much. After that I went with just a few slices and that was much better.
The trickier part was the dressing. I searched online and found a recipe on a website called Copykat Recipes. You can see the recipe here. Once I had the dressing made I put it in a storage container (pictured above) and stored it in the refrigerator. I ate the salad several days in a row; the dressing needed to be stirred each day but it stored well and tasted great.
If you love the Olive Garden salad I would encourage you to make it at home. Trust me, if I can do it you can too!
