TWENTY-TWO OF FIFTY-TWO: Diagonally cut sandwhiches.
There something about a sandwhich that has been cut diagonally that makes it seem really special.
When I was growing up I was usually served sandwhiches (at home and at school) that were cut in half right down the middle. I don't remember the first time I had a sandwhich that had been cut diagonally, but I know it wasn't a common occurance.
Because it was so rare, I actually thought that only RICH people ate their sandwhiches that way. I know. I figured there were RICH kids all over the United States sitting at really long, formal tables eating their diagonally cut sandwhiches while I just sat at the kitchen table eating my plain, old sandwhich.
Now that I'm an adult and I make my own sandwhiches I always cut them diagonally. And I'm not even RICH.
I thought this was just something I thought about, but it turns out it's an actual THING. Here's a website that lists SEVEN SCIENTIFIC REASONS DIAGONALLY CUT SANDWHICHES ARE BETTER.
Diagonally cut sandwhiches. It's one of the things I love.
