Last week when I visited Texas I kept finding reasons why I should move there. But then . . .
While we were there I came up with three solid reasons to move to Texas.
Reason #1: It's warm enough to wear flip flops and capris. It was actually quite hot while we were there, but it felt good to be hot after so many months of being cold. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the breeze, rather than freezing every time you step outside.
Reason #2: The huge variety of fruits and vegetables. It was so much fun to walk through the grocery store and see so many interesting vegetables and so much good fruit. Our selection can be limited, especially in the winter months.
But then, right as I was thinking about checking out house prices, my cousin posted this photo on Facebook.
That's a big Copperhead that she had just killed right outside her front door. We were just about to get in the car to head over to her house, but when I saw this photo it seemed like it might make more sense for her to come to us! When I commented on how big the snake was she informed me that this was probably the baby and she was on the lookout for the mom and dad. What?
Never mind, I think I'll stay in Minnesota where it's nice and cool and we don't have BIG, POISONOUS SNAKES in our yards.
