I walked to the parking lot at work the other day and when I glanced over at the snowbank I saw a reflection in the puddle that looked like the reflection of a mountain in an ice cold lake. Do you see it?
As you can see in this photo, we still have lots of snow here in Minnesota and very cold temps so I think it will be a while before I can hit the pavement and walk outside instead of on my treadmill. Speaking of my treadmill, I checked today and there's a nice little pile of pink dust gathering at the end of my treadmill once again. If this keeps up I won't have any rubber left on my shoes!
By the end of the day today I will have walked two miles a day for 79 days in a row. 79 days! That means I'm just 21 days away from 100 days. I hadn't really thought about that, but now that I have I'm for sure going to set that as a new goal.
For the past week I've been walking at a very moderate pace as I get over this cold. Strenuous activity makes me start coughing - and by strenuous activity I mean getting up off my couch. I've been slowly increasing my pace and am almost back to my normal walking speed.
I'm really getting used to walking every day and don't consider it an option, but instead something that I just need to get done every day. Walking slower for the past week has made me feel like I'm not getting as much of a workout so I'm glad to be almost back up to full speed.
Now, if I could just walk outside I'd be really happy. Hey Spring, let's do this!
