I recently completed a custom order for three different mini albums - one for a trip to Arizona, one for a trip to Texas and one for an annual sailing trip.
For the Arizona mini album I used soft shades of green, yellow, orange and gray. The cover is shown here and on the left side of the cover is green & white polka dot fabric. This was my first time using this fabric that has an adhesive backing and I loved it! I used a butterfly cut from one of the pieces of patterned paper and of course Ali Edward's font. It's one of my favorites! This album is 8" x 8".
For the Texas mini album cover I used a patterned map paper and sewed a button on the state of Texas to "mark the spot". I cut letters for the name of the state out of one of the patterned papers; I used my Cricut to cut the letters. This album is full of red, white & blue papers (plain and patterned) and is 6" x 6".
The sailing mini album cover is made from a Hambly overlay and I adhered a few sentiment stickers right onto the overlay. The inside of the album includes lots of patterned paper features waves, water, fish and summertime words. This album is 5" x 7".
The albums were carefully packaged & mailed and the recipient should receive them any day. I'm anxious to hear what she thinks about the albums! Each album includes a variety of embellishments so she can just add her photos, place the embellishments and have three completed mini albums showing her recent travels.
I really love the simplicity and ease of mini albums. If you haven't made one before you should really give it a try!
