I am not a big fan of breakfast. I'm not crazy about eggs, pancakes, waffles, egg bake or oatmeal. I like cereal, but if I'm in charge of breakfast for a group I typically make Monkey Bread. If you aren't familiar with Monkey Bread it's similar to a carmel roll but in a different form. I'll share the recipe here and show you a few photos to guarantee that you'll give it a try.
4 tubes buttermilk biscuits
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
Cut each biscuit into quarters. Mix sugar and cinnamon and dip biscuit pieces into sugar mixture (to coat). Place coated pieces in a well greased bundt pan. Melt brown sugar and butter; do not boil. Pour over the bisquit pieces in the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
When you take the pan out of the oven it will look like this:
Let it cool for a few minutes, then place a plate or platter upside down on top of the pan and flip the pan over. Careful - the hot caramel sauce may drip off the sides of the plate if the plate isn't big enough or if the pan isn't centered over the plate. When you remove the pan it will look like this:
To serve, just use a fork to pull pieces off. Serve this at your next brunch and I promise it will be a big hit!
