Is it just me, or does this seem like a free week? It's that weird week between Christmas and New Years when schools are closed, many people are taking vacation, and the pace seems slower than normal.
Like most of you I spent the weeks leading up to Christmas preparing for the holiday - decorating, cooking, shopping, wrapping, etc. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't hosting so I had very little cooking to do and I didn't have to prepare for lots of guests. However, I was sick and spent one whole weekend on the couch and many nights sitting in a chair staring at my Christmas tree even though my to do list was LONG. Because of that I felt very rushed and unprepared in the days leading up to Christmas.
So, now it's all over and I'm very busy at work with year end tasks but I get home every night and although I have things I COULD do I don't have any deadlines to meet. And it feels good.
I am working on my 2012 goals, which I will share next week, but other than that I'm relaxing, reading a couple weeks worth of newspapers, having dinner with friends and enjoying this last week in 2011.
My daughter did leave me a "to watch" list of shows that she wants me to watch on Netflix Watch Instantly. Not only did she leave a list but she included deadlines (uderlined in RED) and she wants to hear about each show as I watch it. So I do have things to do.
I'll leave with you a photo I took at sunset on Christmas Eve. WOW.
Happy New Year!
